As the title implies, I am new to this game. I am 69, retired from the Diplomatic Service after an undistinguished career serving Her Majesty in various hellholes such as Dhaka, Rangoon, Lagos, and Maputo.
After retirement I dabbled in property, building two houses, buying and selling, and renting out. Now I am running down my portfolio and spending a more and more time in Spain where I have a flat in Calpe on the Costa Blanca.
I am incensed by the current unpleasantness with regard to M.P.'s allowances, which prompted me to start this bog. More later ...
